Chinese
There are many levels of Chinese language certification. So are the preparation stages of the AXON Educational Group, which aim to equip you with all the necessary knowledge for both oral and written exams.
The HSK exams, offered by Peking University, and their grading based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages are shown in the table below. At the written level, they are conducted at six (6) levels, while at the speaking level, they are conducted at three (3) levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
HSK 1
At the first level, students make their basic introduction to the Chinese language and culture, learning the main grammatical and syntactic structures, the pinyin writing system, tones, some basic characters as well as the lines with which all Chinese characters are written.
At the oral level, they learn how to participate in simple, everyday conversations, a telephone conversation, make an introduction, give greetings, ask questions and give instructions. To obtain the first level of certification, students must know one hundred and fifty (150) characters (ideograms).

At the second level, students are comfortable with basic Chinese and communicate at a level of daily needs that requires simple and straightforward transactions and exchanges of information on common and everyday issues.
HSK 2
Upon obtaining this diploma, students have a vocabulary that reaches three hundred (300) characters (ideograms).

HSK 3
By achieving HSK 3, students are able to communicate in Chinese at a basic level in everyday life, as well as in academic and professional settings.
In addition, they can communicate comfortably if they travel to China. At this level, the characters (ideograms) that students know amount to six hundred (600).

At this level, students have the ability to understand a wide range of topics in Chinese and communicate comfortably with native speakers.
HSK 4
The number of characters (ideograms) that one can understand and use is one thousand two hundred (1200) as a solid foundation has been laid.

Students who complete this level can easily manage the language.
For example, they can easily read Chinese magazines and newspapers, watch Chinese films and other works, and give extended speeches in Chinese, as the characters (ideograms) they know are two thousand five hundred (2500).

High
Students who obtain this degree can easily understand written and spoken information in Chinese and express themselves fluently both orally and in writing.
HSK 6
They know over five thousand (5000) characters, which is more than the average Chinese person. This degree enables its holders to teach the Chinese language.
